Terms and Conditions
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Link Wallet application ("App"), operated by SHABAKA LINK For Trading & Marketing, a company incorporated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. By registering or using the App, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
Regulatory Position
Link Wallet operates as a Payment Institution (PI) in partnership with regulated financial service providers within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. All payment processing, card tokenization, and fund settlement services are conducted through regulated third-party providers including Moyasar and their acquiring banking partners.
Important: Link Wallet does not hold, store, or custody customer funds. Funds are processed and settled by regulated financial institutions.
Nature of Service
The App provides:
- Wallet registration and account management
- Card tokenization via licensed payment providers
- Palm-based biometric payment authorization
- Merchant payment facilitation
- Transaction history viewing
- Payment authentication services
Link Wallet acts solely as a technical facilitator enabling payment authorization.
Biometric (Palm) Authentication
Palm authentication is provided as a secure method of payment authorization. By enabling palm authentication:
- You consent to the collection of biometric templates.
- Biometric data is encrypted and processed securely.
- Biometric data is not sold.
- You may disable biometric authentication at any time.
Link is not liable for unauthorized access caused by:
- User negligence
- Device compromise
- Third-party hardware malfunction
Fees
Applicable fees (if any) will be disclosed within the App. Link reserves the right to update fees with prior notice.
User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Protect your mobile device.
- Immediately report loss or compromise.
- Not use the App for unlawful purposes.
- Not attempt to reverse engineer the system.
Failure to comply may result in suspension.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Saudi law:
- Link is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
- Link is not liable for banking network downtime.
- Link is not responsible for chargebacks initiated by issuing banks.
- Link does not guarantee merchant product quality.
Liability, if established, shall be limited to the value of the disputed transaction.
Suspension & Termination
Link may suspend accounts in cases of:
- Suspected fraud
- AML concerns
- Regulatory instructions
- Security threats
Funds held by payment providers remain subject to their compliance review.
Data Protection
User data is processed in accordance with Saudi data protection regulations. Data may be shared with:
- Payment processors
- Banking partners
- Compliance authorities
- Fraud monitoring systems
Dispute Resolution
Users must report disputes within 7 days of the transaction date. Disputes are reviewed in coordination with the payment processor and acquiring bank.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Saudi courts.
Data Retention
Data retained as required under Saudi financial regulations. Biometric data retained only while the account is active.
The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, amend, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes shall become effective upon publication within the App or on the Company’s official website. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
